Steve Jobs : Background applications do not affect the battery on iOS 4

Steve Jobs responded to a mail address of an Italian user, who asked how to close all applications running in the background on iOS 4 to save in terms of battery.

With multitasking designed by Apple, in fact, all applications should be closed automatically in the background (those that already support this feature), and the user must manually close them.
you can see our posted here how to use a multitasking

Doubt user in question is therefore justified, but the response from Steve Jobs reassures everyone

You do not need to do this to save battery. Trust the iPhone.

The operating system is able to better manage applications in the background without weighing them in terms of consumption.
