Android Has Been Successfully Ported to iPhone
Do you like this story?
Well yes, you read that right ! Hackers have finally managed to run a “debug” version of Android OS on the iPhone. Almost everything is said to be working, as can also be seen in the video attached below.
Moreover, both the iPhone OS and Android can co-exist as you can now dual boot them right on your iPhone. Oh and with this, you may also get to run Flash stuff on the iPhone. Video after the break.
If you are interested in trying this out, head over to this link to download pre-built images and sources of Android, along with installation and openiboot instructions in a readme file. The version currently available is Android 1.6 for iPhone 2G/3G. 3GS version will take some time before its ready for primetime use.
Pre-built images and sources at http://www.mediafire.com/?xqjzn12igfn. Read the README. For generic openiboot instructions, there's plenty now that you can search for.
