Nokia N8 last Nseries to run Symbian : N9 confirmed

We've heard the rumors, but it seems CNET Australia has it on good authority that the N9 will be the first MeeGo device.



The head of Marketing for Nokia Asia Pacific, Will Harris, also told associate editor Joseph Hanlon that the N8 will be the last Nseries to run on the Symbian platform and that future Nseries models will sport MeeGo.

This would mean that the current Symbian^3 and upcoming Symbian^4 will be on only the Xseries and Eseries handsets. The budget Cseries, on the other hand, will run on the existing S40 software.
