Apple: The reception problems on the iPhone 4 are in software, will soon be releasing an update to correct!

Like a bolt from the blue comes the first statement on the Apple iPhone 4 reception problems : this is a problem in software and in a few weeks will be issued a corrective update!

Here is the text :

Upon investigation, we discovered that the formula we used to calculate the signal strength display via "notches is completely wrong. This formula, in many cases is mistakenly see two more notches in the respect due to signal strength. For example, the display shows four notches when in fact it should be two. Some users have noted the decrease of the marks when you hold the iPhone in a certain way and this is probably due to the fact that you are in an area with weak signal, but they do not know why the display shows 4-5 notches. The decline marks perentino is due to the fact that the bar does not match the real signal.

To resolve this issue we are taking some arrangements with AT & T to correct everything. The real power of the signal remains the same, but the bars on the iPhone will be displayed accurately, providing users with a better indication of the reception in various places. We are also working to make these notches higher for easier viewing.

Soon will receive a free upgrade for iPhone 4 and iPhone 3G .
