Erica Sadun, iPhone notes programmer, has created a simple application that can measure the intensity variation of the audio signal on the iPhone 4.

Sadun has created a video of this application, demonstrating the effect of "hand" at the bottom left to go directly affect signal strength, so it is impossible to correct the shot with a possible firmware update.
