Apple May Have Patched Limera1n Exploit in Newer iOS Devices (iPhone 4, iPad, iPod touch)
Do you like this story?
On the forum of ModMyI has been the experience of someone who has had problems with the Jailbreak that he led him to think that Apple has patched the exploit of Limera1n thereby preventing the ability to unlock the new devices.
It seemed impossible, but instead it seems that Apple has put into practice the advice of turning out a new hardware device, absolutely no more vulnerable all'exploit GeoHot.
The user experience starts here:
I went to the Apple Store today to buy an iPad my girlfriend as a Christmas gift. He told me he preferred avarlo Jailbroken and then I sat in front of my computer, I downloaded Redsn0w and tried to unlock it.
The problem that occurs is that Redsn0w was unable to load the IBSS pwned. Furthermore, the device has remained in a stalemate when he tried to dump on bootrom. All this led me to think that the injection system via USB has been patched by Apple.
It appears that all the devices with the serial number iOS xx050 or above (where 50 represents the current week) are invulnerable to all'exploit limera1n.
Updated: As seen from the screenshots, dell'iBoot version of the old and new devices is the same. This is the 574.4 and is vulnerable all'exploit. The news, therefore, seems increasingly unlikely.
