Meizu Mbook is an iPad Rival, Surprisingly Not an iPad Clone

Remember Meizu? They were the most famous company producing an iPhone clone and now they’re in the tablet business, creating an iPad rival. Believe it or not, this product doesn’t copy Apple’s tablet, but it stands on its own and comes with a pretty neat set of features.

Meizu Mbook features an 8.4 inch touchscreen display, with a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, a 1.5 GHz processor, 1080p output via HDMI port, plus WiFi, 3G and GPS. The battery on board of this device provides 12 hours of functioning and we learn that the tablet is only 14mm thick. The OS of choice is Android, although it’ll be customized heavily.
Expect this product to hit the market in 2011, for a yet unknown price.
