Update from iOS 3.0 to 4.0.1 ? [Q]

Hello.  I have a jailbroken iPhone 3GS and an iPad.  I have never updated to iOS4 and now they have closed the JailbreakMe.com window. Is there a way to upgrade to iOS4.0.1 using the download link you gave and then re-jailbreak my devices ? They are both 3.x .
