Nokia Unveils New Messaging Phones: Nokia C3, Nokia C6 and Nokia E5

Apparently, Nokia’s messaging-related event today was referring to a handset launch, after all. Thus, we’re now acquainted to the Nokia C3, Nokia C6 and Nokia E5 models. All of these devices pack QWERTY keyboards, social networking features, IM and email. Here’s a shot of the trio below and details follow after the break:

Nokia C3 features a 2.4 inch QVGA display, a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, FM radio and a 3.5mm audio jack. There’s also a microSD card slot on board (up to 8GB storage), plus support for 1 click access to social networks, with image uploads included via Nokia’s Communities app. The handset will be launched in Q2 for $122, before taxes and you should know that it lacks 3G connectivity, so you’ll settle with EDGE and WiFi.

Nokia C6 comes with a 3.2 inch touchscreen display, a sliding QWERTY keyboard, WiFi b/g and support for quadband UMTS/HSPA. A 5 megapixel camera is also on board, as well as IM and email support, plus Ovi Maps with free navigation. You’ll use C6’s front camera for video calls and you have to know that the device also sports Bluetooth, FM radio and A-GPS. This S60 5.0 phone will go on sale starting Q2 2010, for $299, before taxes.

Last, but not least, Nokia also announced the E5 business phone, running S60 3rd edition, FP2. This handset packs a full QWERTY keyboard, supports WiFi b/g, triband UMTS/HSPA, A-GPS and Bluetooth. It uses Ovi Maps to get you around, IM, email and Exchange sync, plus a 5 megapixel full focus camera with LED flash.
Ovi Store access is supported too and you’ll find this unit in shops starting Q3 2010, for $245, before taxes.
