Need iPod Touch 4 Speakers [Q]

I just got a new iPod Touch 4 . It doesn’t fit on any of my docking speakers for my old iPod. Called Apple and they said that I need to buy new speakers (craggy voice not being happy here).
I usually buy Macally type, meaning I’m not an audiophile and I’m very frugal. Thirty-fifty bucks ??? is about what I spend.

Lil’ help? I can’t find but a very few choices. Is that normal with a new device ? Should I return it and just get a new classic ?
