Cydia – Installaous Apps Not Working on Iphone

After jailbreaking my Iphone 4, what is next?  I have downloaded apps from installous and cydia but none work, one forum said I needed to install BSD subsystem, to make apps work but I cannot find out in get it on the iphone, any help? Kinda of a tutorial of what to do after jailbreaking Iphone4 ?
