iH8Sn0w Releases AutoSHSH to Grab SHSH blobs for 3.1.3 and iPad 3.2

iH8Sn0w, the man behind Sn0wBreeze jailbreak, f0rcast tool to know your device, and iREB has come up with another handy utility named AutoSHSH. During the last week we wrote a guide on how to save SHSH on file for iPhone 3.1.3 that process involved many steps to get your hand onto your 3.1.3 SHSH. AutoSHSH has made life easier for all those interested in grabbing SHSH blobs for their devices with a single click.

autoshshFor those who don’t know what’s this for.. Apple has added a new security system called ECID. ECID stands for Exclusive Chip ID. iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3G, iPod Touch 2G MC and almost every upcoming iDevice is affected by this security. ECID is a unique chip id for all devices.

Once someone updates his iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3G, and iTouch 2G MC to latest firmware without saving SHSH on file they not only lose their jailbreak but also the ability of downgrading to the older firmware. But if you have ECID SHSH saved for an older firmware, you’ll always be able to restore back to that firmware and then jailbreak your iPhone.

Step 1

[Update: AutoSHSH RC2] Download AutoSHSH

Step 2

Put your iPad into Recovery Mode:
  1. Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time. (your device will turn OFF and then ON)
  2. Continue holding the both buttons until your iTunes pops up a message telling you that it has detected an iPad in recovery mode. (Auto-SHSH will prompt you with the following menu so you have to make sure you are in recovery mode)
