Jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 before iOS 4.3 / 4.2.5 Official Release that is what Comex said for his Untethered Jailbreak Soon it`s good news, Andrea Cervone over iPhoneItalia was able to contact with Comex (the hacker behind JailbreakMe and Spirit), he asked him whether he will preserve his untethered jailbreak until Verizon releases iPhone 4 which will be powered by iOS 4.2.5 ? Let's see how Comex replied him
Andrea Cervone asking: So, if Apple releases iOS 4.2.5 on 10 February, you’ll preserver your new tool and exploits for that firmware? Maybe this will be a good move. Dev Team and Chronic Dev are releasing their tools for iOS 4.2.1, your can be saved for the future too.So, it's now clear that Comex has moved back about his last ETA (estimate to arrival) for his untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1 as it was related to iOS 4.3 (or iOS 4.2.5) official release. Comex Untethered Jailbreak Saved for iOS 4.3 !
Now it's real ! Comex is saving his untethered hacks for iOS 4.3. Andrea Cervone of iPhoneItalia contacted the popular iPhone hacker Comex behind JailbreakMe and Spirit asking him about the release of his next jailbreak tool. Comex responded to the guy just the same as Steve Jobs. He's going to wait for Apple to release iOS 4.3 then push his next jailbreak to the world !
Cervone asking:The e-mail address shown above in the screenshot is the same one he showed publicly on his Twitter account. Comex saved his jailbreak tool as the iPhone Dev Team has released a beta of their backup plan to untether iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak. Anyway, let's wait and see. Stay tuned !
Just like Steve Job’s ones, I would like to really receive a short and direct answer to my question: your next tool will jailbreak ready for iOS 4.2.1 or the next iOS 4.3?

The untethered jailbreak firmware 4.2.1 developed by Comex will probably be a package installed from Cydia!
Comex has just released, again via Twitter, new details about his next tools to run the jailbreak firmware 4.2.1 on all untethered devices. It could be a simple program to download and install devices on already released (tethered) with the latest version of Redsn0w released by the Dev Team.
In the message published by the author [Comex] of Spirit and JailbreakMe reads:
It will, probably, a package for Cydia. Also if I can make it work.
As explained by the same Comex tweet in a second, references to the next tool to jailbreak are quite clear and obvious.
The jailbreak of the Comex, in contrast to the "backup plan" of the Dev Team does not require the use of blob SHSH firmware 4.2 beta 3. According to the developer, the likely new package will be released in Cydia soon be completed and has been tested for proper operation.
The tool in question will almost certainly be compatible with all devices A4 (fourth iPhone, iPod Touch 4G, iPad, Apple TV2) and even with previous generation devices. At the moment no further details.

Comex Untethered Jailbreak is Not Ready for Christmas Release
Comex has promised the iOS community with iOS 4.2.1 untethered jailbreak to launch before the Christmas but this tweet from Comex means that nothing is going to be released by the Christmas, i.e. we may not see that untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1 by this Christmas. Though keep the hopes up!

New Jailbreak by Comex for iPhone 3G/3GS and iPod touch 3G on iOS 4.1
It was just moments ago when we told you that GreenPois0n jailbreak which is scheduled to be launched on Sunday 11th October, will not jailbreak anything but 4th-generation devices. In a new tweet from MuscleNerd, has confirmed that Comex is working on a new jailbreak for other devices as iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3G.
SHAtter doesn't apply to iPhone3GS (or iPod touch 3G). New owners of those should wait for future @comex JBIt's clear, Comex, the iPhone hacker behind untethered Spirit jailbreak and userland JailbreakMe is working on a new jailbreak to jailbreak those old devices. Also, there's a new version of PwnageTool in it's way to jailbreak iPhone 3GS and a Windows version of Redsn0w to jailbreak iPhone 3G.

New Jailbreak Will be From H0tB33f not Comex [video]
Next jailbreak may not come from Comex. Now, p0sixninja confirms that in a tweet, the next jailbreak is not from Comex, it will from an old hacker in the iPhone dev team know as H0tB33f. This hacker started jailbreaking iPhones 5 months ago and he had an untethered jailbreak that time.
The next jailbreak should follows the iOS 4.1 release today. The embedded video below shows the exploit that H0tB33f used to jailbreak iPhone 5 months ago, it may be the same exploit that will use to jailbreak iOS 4.1. Who knows!
@cdevwill what do you mean? We all know the next JB will be from h0tb33fdev

[EXCLUSIVE] Comex has Two Exploits to Jailbreak iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.2 [video]
As most of you know, we reported that Comex is working on iOS 4.1 userland jailbreak. We are just two days away from iOS 4.1 and it brings a lot of new features and bug fixes which stimulates people to upgrade to this iOS 4.1. Comex has two exploits for jailbreaking iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.2.
The userland jailbreak uses an uses a loophole in iOS itself, just the same as his last two tools, Spirit and JailbreakMe. This exploits can be caught by Apple easily and closed in the next iOS upgrade. This method is untethered jailbreak and it's the exploit used in the video below by Geohot.
Unlike userland jailbreak, the second exploit acts on the hardware of the device itself. In brief, Apple can't close this hole as it must change the internal components of the device to protect against the new tool. Apple only can close this hole in the new devices!
In brief, Comex will use the userland jailbreak which uses the exploit on iOS itself to jailbreak iOS 4.1. The second exploit will be used on iOS 4.2 when it's released in November if he didn't fail to jailbreak iOS 4.1. The two exploits were discovered by p0sixninja, one of them used by Geohot to jailbreak iPhone 4. In summary, the jailbreak in one way or another is will be released. Now just wait for iOS 4.1 release in the next two days. We didn't hear anything about unlocking iPhone under iOS 4.1 but Planetbeing may be working on this.

Problems and Solutions with JailbreakMe 2.0 !!
JailbreakMe 2.0 Star was released a couple of days ago, A lot of problems found and leaked for some people but we probably solved most of them, this post shows you that most known problems when you try to jailbreak your iDevice using JailbreakMe from comex.
After logging into "Slide to Jailbreak" page, can't install?
- The solution for this problem is to power off and reboot your device several times till it work / Enable javascript in Safari may solve it too
Wi-Fi is not working?
- Inspect the wireless router, reboot Wi-Fi and iPhone 4G as well as undo the network settings.
- Note: If the selects in Wi-Fi is grey and show ”No Wi-Fi”, perhaps your BaseBand or Bootloader is broken, and the users use 2.0 above firmware need to reboot the ware
Stuck on Purple Screen when trying to jailbreak your device?

JailbreakMe: Comex takes stock of the situation and explains why problems !!
Many of you are having problems with the jailbreak and then Comex has finally made a point of the situation that we explain below.
Yesterday, when it was released the first version of the server has not JailbreakMe rectum. Soon after, many users were able to unlock the iPhone but not without a bit of trouble. Among these are definitely the messages and how to FaceTime on the iPhone 4.

Jailbreak iPhone 4 on iOS 4.x is "Close to Out"
Hot News to get the hopes up, in an all-star podcast interview with Comex, Planetbeing, Chpwn, and Saurik yesterday, Comex was asked "When is the iPhone 4 Jailbreak and Unlock is going to be released?", the answer was great "pretty close to done"
Question: When is the iPhone 4 Jailbreak and Unlock is going to be released?
Comex: You will have to ask Saurik if he’s done with that bootstrap yet. Like I hate to say this because people will be complaining, but it is pretty close to done.
PlanetBeing: Unlock is done. Just waiting for the jailbreak to be released.
Chpwn: The jailbreak definitely needs a lot of testing before it is released, to make sure it works on everybody’s phone, and that there are no issues like Spirit had where it deleted all of your photos in the first few days of the release.

iOS 4.0.1 Jailbreak tool for iPhone 4 is called “Sedna” [Fake]
Some images appeared a few minutes ago on the web, graphic and interface anticipates the name of what could be the new tool [Sedna]. this hypothetical his name, will run the jailbreak of all iDEVICES having iOS 4 or later.
