Jailbreak PS3 Running 3.55 Firmware [HOW TO]
Two days ago we have showed you a video presenting the jailbreak for PlayStation 3 (PS3), this jailbreak is a shared success between fail0verflow team and Geohot, after that I have been asked a lot about the full step by step guide to jailbreak PS3 using Geohot method.
How To: Jailbreak PS3 on 3.55 only
STEP 1: Plug a USB stick into your computer
STEP 2: Create a folder in the root of the USB stick called PS3
STEP 3: Create a folder inside the PS3 folder called UPDATE
STEP 4: Download [Mirror] or http://geohot.com/jailbreak.zip
STEP 5: Unzip Jailbreak.zip to PS3UPDAT.PUP
STEP 6: Move PS3UPDAT.PUP to the directory UPDATE that you just created on the USB stick
STEP 7: Plug the USB stick into your PS3
STEP 8: Navigate to Settings Tab
STEP 9: Choose System Update
STEP 10: Choose Update via Storage Media
STEP 11: It will say it found Version 3.55-jb
STEP 12: Choose OK
STEP 13: Accept Conditions and Install Update
STEP 14: After less than a minute, your PS3 will update, beep 4 times then shut down.
STEP 15: Power up your PS3 (You will have to do it on the console and not by the controller)
STEP 16: Your PS3 is now jailbroken!
How To: Install Packages
STEP 1: Plug your USB stick into your computer
STEP 2: Drop http://geohot.com/test.pkg into the root of the USB stick [Mirror]
STEP 3: Plug your USB stick into your PS3
STEP 4: Navigate to the Game Tab
STEP 5: Choose Install Package Files
STEP 6: Select the test.pkg
STEP 7: After it installs you will find the test package from geohot installed below the Install Package Files folder
STEP 8: Wait for more packages to be created by the PS3 community
Note: With the above geohot's PS3 jailbreak guide, you won't be able to play backup games or pirated games or whatever you choose to call them. You can install packages with the provided installer. More packages will be coming from the PS3 jailbreak community in the coming weeks and months.

Geohot Releases PS3 Root Keys ! PS 3 is Now Pwned for Life !
Couple of days back, we informed you about a small group of German hackers called fail0verflow who found an exploit dubbed as the PlayStation 3’s “private key”, which is used by Sony itself to restrict the access to unsigned code and block pirated software.

Rubyra1n Jailbreak by Geohot [Soon]
New Jailbreak @Rubyra1n_JB on Twitter for Geohot's next jailbreak for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch may be called Rubyra1n. The domain Rubyra1n.com or RubyRa1nJailbreak.com is registered by the popular iPhone hacker George Hotz. That was on 27th March 2010. This jailbreak might bring untethered hacks for iOS 4.2.1 which is currently still tethered on new-generation devices.
And as noted by Redmond Pie, the whois records for both blackra1n and rubyra1n are the same while the whois for limeran is different. Geohot may has changed the records when limera1n was known to public to hide this new tool behind the scenes. What's also interesting that Geohot has registered both limera1n.com and rubyra1n.com at the same date (27th March 2010). There's no further confirmation but we'll keep you updated. Check the whois records for Geohot's sites below.

LimeSn0w to Unlock iPhone 4 With Geohot [Video]
It may be real! Geohot may surprise us (again!) with a new unlock solution for iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.2.1 on iPhone 4. The video below shows iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.1 on baseband 05.15.01 unlocked using Limesn0w solution via Limera1n jailbreak which was released a month ago. It would be a real surprise.
Of course there's a lot of users have updated to iOS 4.1 and now their devices on baseband 02.10.04 or higher which is not unlockable at the moment. So Geohot may really surprise us Limesn0w.
The domain http://limesn0w.com is registered by Geohot, the same info as http://limera1n.com but the site indicates that "This will never be real.", you know, surprises! Geohot didn't say any word about that, we'll keep you updated at any update happens.

GeoHot has Another Untethered Exploit for Future Jailbreak of 5th Generation Devices
You may be wondering why did GeoHot used comex's exploit to make his popular tool Limera1n untethered. Well, comex, has answered this question! The real answer is that GeoHot used comex's exploit not because he don't have untethered exploit but because he don't want to waste another bootrom exploit. That indicates that this exploit will be used to make SHAtter untethered exploit.
comex: @esemede he would have implemented his own untether, but that would be wasting an exploitSo with Geohot's bootrom exploit, SHAtter exploit and comex's hacks, we can see that future jailbreak for iPhone 5 and iPad 2 will be easy and safe. Limesn0w Unlock Tool Will Never be Real ! [HOT]
A few days ago we had hopes when we reported you about the Limesn0w unlock tool which was expected as a new surprise from Geohot to unlock basebands 05.14.02 and 02.10.04 on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4G on iOS 4.1, but now Geohot cut in any doubt, when he announced that Limes0w unlock tool will never be real in his limesn0w.com website.
This will never be real. Media, understand it. ~geohotSo that, if you see any picture or video claiming the unlock of those basebands by limesn0w, they are completely fake.
We have no choice but waiting the new unlock from the Dev-team, for who don't know, the unlock for the above mentioned basebands will be released after iOS 4.2 official release by November.

GeoHot's Bootrom Exploit Ported into PwnageTool [on Sunday]
You already know that PwnageTool will be released this weekend to jailbreak Apple TV and iPhone 3GS old bootrom while preserving basebands. The big one today is that new GeoHot's bootrom exploit ported successfully into PwnageTool and will be released this Sunday.

George Hotz Full Story about Blackra1n, Limera1n and Blacksn0w Hacking Apple iDevices and personal Life with Videos
George Francis Hotz (born October 2, 1989), alias geohot, million75 or simply mil is known for working with other people to unlock the iPhone, allowing the phone to be used with other wireless carriers, contrary to AT&T and Apple's intent.
He is also noted for jailbreaking the iPhone OS and developing a method for cracking the PlayStation 3.
On July 13th 2010: Hotz posted a message on his Twitter account stating that he was giving up trying to crack the PS3 any further
Hacking Apple iDevices :
According to Hotz's blog, he traded his unlocked 8GB iPhone to Terry Daidone, the founder of Certicell, for a Nissan 350Z and 3 8GB iPhones. Hotz said he wanted to give the iPhones to the other members of the team who created the hack with him. Hotz's hardware based unlocking technique has largely been replaced by software unlocking that does not require dis-assembly of the iPhone.
On February 8, 2008: Hotz developed the software unlock for the iPhone's new Bootloader Version 4.6 that was previously only achievable with a "testpoint based hardware unlock".
On July 3, 2009: Hotz announced purplera1n, the first public software exploit for jailbreaking the iPhone 3GS.
On October 11, 2009: Hotz released blackra1n, a jailbreak for all iPhones and iPod Touches. The only caveat was that the iPod touch third generation would need a "tethered jailbreak" to work.
On October 25, 2009: Hotz released Blackra1n RC2, an update to his previous blackra1n utility. This version allows MC Model iPod Touch 2G (8GB iPod Touch third generation) and new-bootrom iPhone 3GS users to jailbreak their iPod touches as well. (tethered jailbreak only)
On October 31, 2009: Hotz announced the impending release of Blackra1n RC3, this version will include blacksn0w which will allow SIM unlock of all iPhones using Blacksn0w RC1. Blacksn0w was originally scheduled for release
on November 4, 2009: but due to positive test results it was moved to the 3rd. Blacksn0w was the #1 trending topic on Twitter as requested by GeoHot only moments after its release.
On April 13, 2010: Hotz established a website for his newest jailbreak software limera1n.
Limera1n was rumored to be his newest jailbreaking tool.
On June 24, 2010: Hotz wrote on Twitter that he had no plans to release a new jailbreak. He has told people looking for a jailbreak release to 'keep an eye on Spirit, the currently used program for 3.1.x jailbreaking, which lead to the belief there are plans to update the software to allow iOS 4.0 jailbreaking. This however has not had a release date confirmed.
On July 10, 2010: Hotz published that he had been able to jailbreak an iPhone 4 running iOS 4.0. As evidence, he provided a picture of the device executing Cydia. This post has since been edited and blocked from public view, in which Hotz stated that the picture was "quite obviously fake", addressing himself to "the haters".
On July 13, 2010: Hotz announced his retirement from iDevices hacking, saying that it's not fun as it used to be, and people were taking too serious something he used to do just as a distraction.
On October 8, 2010: Hotz confirmed he was releasing a Jailbreak on 10/11/10; one day after the release of GreenPois0n. He also posted a picture of limera1n running on an iPhone 3G S, iPod Touch fourth generation, iPhone 4.
On October 9th: Hotz released limera1n Beta 1 - without support for the 3GS (due to a problem with the bootrom) Fixed. Additionally, the exploit has been found to be moderately buggy, even on supported devices. This suspended the release of the SHatter exploit in the form of greenpois0n, due for release the next day. On the limera1n website, he claims this was to make the Chronic Dev team "do the right thing" - presumably implying that they should save their jailbreak exploit for fifth generation devices. He later went on to release three more betas, containing support for iPhone 3GS models and iPod Touch 2G models, along with various bug fixes and other stability enhancements.
Personal life
Hotz grew up in Glen Rock, New Jersey, where he attended the Bergen County Academies, a magnet public high school. He has one sister, Julia Hotz, alias "Fifty". He currently attends the Rochester Institute of Technology studying biotechnology.

Geohot’s Come back with Limera1n to Jailbreak iOS 4.1 on all iDevices for Life [Confirmed]
A long time we waited for Geohot after when we posted that he Closed his iPhone Blog and his Twitter . Now Geohot come back to iPhone jailbreak scene with a complete new bootrom exploit and tool to pwn all current iOS devices on iOS 4.1 for life! He has been out for months, but his return is surely going to please everyone, specially the 3rd-generation iPhone and iPod touch owners who were left out by SHAtter based GreenPois0n.

[EXCLUSIVE] Comex has Two Exploits to Jailbreak iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.2 [video]
As most of you know, we reported that Comex is working on iOS 4.1 userland jailbreak. We are just two days away from iOS 4.1 and it brings a lot of new features and bug fixes which stimulates people to upgrade to this iOS 4.1. Comex has two exploits for jailbreaking iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.2.
The userland jailbreak uses an uses a loophole in iOS itself, just the same as his last two tools, Spirit and JailbreakMe. This exploits can be caught by Apple easily and closed in the next iOS upgrade. This method is untethered jailbreak and it's the exploit used in the video below by Geohot.
Unlike userland jailbreak, the second exploit acts on the hardware of the device itself. In brief, Apple can't close this hole as it must change the internal components of the device to protect against the new tool. Apple only can close this hole in the new devices!
In brief, Comex will use the userland jailbreak which uses the exploit on iOS itself to jailbreak iOS 4.1. The second exploit will be used on iOS 4.2 when it's released in November if he didn't fail to jailbreak iOS 4.1. The two exploits were discovered by p0sixninja, one of them used by Geohot to jailbreak iPhone 4. In summary, the jailbreak in one way or another is will be released. Now just wait for iOS 4.1 release in the next two days. We didn't hear anything about unlocking iPhone under iOS 4.1 but Planetbeing may be working on this.

We all (even me) thought that the new account on twitter @georgehotz is the real Geohot and we posted that he apologized to all people for his bad behavior. At first he started privately and once all knew that he apologized, he went public and got a lot of followers.
Actually I was surprised when I saw this tweet from @gerogehotz
Its not real its just for fun!So, Now decide, Follow him for some fun but he is not real! he is a parody account!

Geohot Apologizing again !!
About some weeks Geohot has closed here twitter account and his official blog Today Geohot has just sent a tweet from few seconds, he apologized about his behavior and suddenly disappearance, as we know George Hotz is a big name in the jailbreak world he is the creator of the blackra1n and blacksn0w tools. See what he said after the break.

I understand most of you say you depend on my work, but reality is I made a lot of great tools and resources for others to continue. I apologize for my behavior the last few months but you must understand my life doea not revolve around just iphone. This was something I picked up for fun and now it has turned to much more than that. we have many great people on the scene now, please check them out. i don't plan on releasing anything soon. Thank you.I think it is not logic to see one don't like fame, money, appreciation and respect from people, cause the jailbreakers look like Hollywood Stars in the Internet community, I think that Geohot may continue but via his friend Mike Cohen.

Geohot Come Back with XXXXRa1n !!
Well, a week ago we told you that George Hotz (Known by Geohot) left the Jailbreak scene by saying Good Bye and He will not make any jailbreak again, But before he left, he told us to follow his friend Mike Cohenn, Today, Mike Cohenn posted on his twitter account that it's the time to Make "Ra1n"!!

Geohot Closed his iPhone Blog and his Twitter Account [Updated]
Bad news Geohot after Updating his post on its official blog dedicated to iPhone.
Now he Shuts down his blog for only invited members i thinks hw was sad when he saw the bad comments of visitors cause them forgot what he did before for iPhone Jailbreak [Blacra1n] so now we didn`t know for what he thinking now so we still wait for any other good news for GeoHot.
Update:
Geohot has also now shut down his Twitter account which has 113,761 followers. Visiting the account now says, "This person has protected their tweets" and no past tweets are viewable to the public.
Update 2: Geohot has delete his Twitter account you can see now not found.

Geohot Update : no release of Jailbreak the IOS 4
In these hours Geohot updated the latest article published on its official blog dedicated to iPhone. In the boy expresses some doubts and some concerns about the world of current jailbreak, reports George has become an eternal request by users that allows hackers to work in serenity.
The update article suggests that the intent of Geohot something could be changed. However, the boy said he will think about what to do (or not to release the program to run the jailbreak on all Apple devices) in the coming hours.
Here are the words given official Geohot:
Sorry, this post was probably a bad idea. Next time I won't say anything. I miss when this blog was actually about technical things(I've been reacting too much to the feedback, which led it to the place it's in now). I didn't fully realize most of the current scene don't care unless they are getting something. Now I do. It's late tonight, I'll think about what to do about this in the morning.
The real reason behind no release isn't technical. It's just that it will never stop, after blackra1n, people demand unlock, after blacksn0w, people demand untethered. I miss the days when jailbreaking and unlocking were difficult, it attracted a much higher caliber crowd.
Also, to the haters, the picture is quite obviously fake :D
Knowing the character, which in recent years we have become accustomed to this kind of plot twists, the tool to run the jailbreak on all devices with IOS 4 (fourth iPhone included) may still be issued. Obviously, at this point, the waiting time could stretch.
